Griffin Thayer, MA
Griffin is a doctoral candidate in the clinical psychology program at City College of New York. He is currently in residency as a psychotherapist at the Psychological Center at City College, a community mental health clinic. He is also a Teaching Fellow through the CUNY Graduate Center, teaching several undergraduate courses. He works with adults, adolescents, and children and practices from a person-centered and psychodynamic approach.
Prior to his doctoral studies, Griffin practiced as a psychotherapist in Vermont. He has worked in community mental health and has experience with individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention. He received his M.A. in clinical psychology from Saint Michael's College and his B.A. in psychology and philosophy from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
