• Rachel Harrus, BA

    Rachel Harrus is a first year doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Long Island University, Brooklyn campus.

     

    Rachel completed her bachelor's degree in environmental biology at Barnard College in New York City. Previous to beginning her doctoral studies, Rachel worked in data analytics and was a researcher and writer for a prominent U.S. based medical practice that specializes in the applied science of human health and longevity. She has an interest in the intersection of integrative therapeutic approaches, with a particular focus on the intersection of somatic, psychodynamic, and third wave behavioral psychotherapies. Rachel has presented in the U.S. and internationally on the intersection between Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, a treatment model used with individuals negotiating substance use challenges, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
