Gordon DiQuattro, MA
Psychology Extern

Gordon DiQuattro is currently pursuing his doctorate at Adelphi University's Derner School of Psychology. He earned his MA in Applied Psychological Science from Pacific University and has several years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Gordon is particularly interested in working with LGBT youth, same-sex couples, and families of transgender adolescents. His work utilizes a primarily psychodynamic framework for thinking deeply through patients' material while integrating aspects of behavioral approaches such as ACT and DBT when appropriate. Gordon strives to provide a warm environment for growth that balances comfort and challenge to deepen understanding of self and other, alleviate suffering, and clarify personal identity.

Gordon was born in rural Connecticut and earned his B.A. in Jazz Studies from Columbia College Chicago. He often incorporates art, music, and narrative to personalize the therapeutic process and make meaningful connections between childhood experiences and current functioning. Gordon also aims to maintain space for discussing religion and spirituality and how they may be integrated into a holistic sense of self and belonging.
