Advanced Postgraduate/Postdoctoral Program

Program Directors: Sophia Frydman, Ph.D. and Jenny Marion, Ph.D.

Our postgraduate training program is a two-year, full-time paid program. It is suitable for psychologists, social workers, and counselors who who have completed their graduate classes and are collecting hours toward licensure. Postgraduate trainees carry a fulltime caseload of 20 - 30 weekly clinical hours. We encourage trainees to see their patients long-term and multiple times per week when possible.

Postgraduate trainees attend didactics focused on clinical applications of psychoanalytic and social theory, including units on sexuality, trauma, class, gender, race, neurodiversity, and eating disorders. They receive two hours of weekly individual supervision and one hour of weekly group supervision.

Our program is designed to prepare trainees to move into a sliding scale private practice after licensure. We help our trainees develop independence around fee setting, billing, scheduling, and treatment decision-making.

— we are unlikely to have any postgraduate positions open for the 2026-2027 training year but encourage people to look into the middle track or apply in 2027-2028 —
