Jeremy Graves, Psy.D.
Postgraduate Psychologist
Dr. Jeremy Graves (he/him) is a postdoctoral clinical psychologist who works with adults, teens, and children. He supports people facing depression and anxiety, relationship challenges, LGBTQ+ concerns, sexual behaviors, personality and mood difficulties, and psychosis. He also has a special interest in the ways creativity, spirituality, professional life, and leadership shape people’s inner worlds.
Jeremy’s style as a clinician is warm, thoughtful, and engaged. He aims to help each person make sense of their experience in meaningful and healing ways, honoring their unique identity and story. Over time, this process can open space for greater intimacy with oneself and with others. His approach is rooted in contemporary relational psychodynamic and psychoanalytic traditions, while also drawing on meditation, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and, when helpful, cognitive-behavioral strategies.
Beyond the therapy room, Jeremy is a co-author of a bestselling book on Buddhist meditation and cognitive psychology, The Mind Illuminated (Simon & Schuster and Random House). He earned his master’s and doctorate in clinical psychology at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA and has worked in a wide range of settings, including a psychiatric hospital, community clinics, schools, and private practice. He also brings to his work a background as a classical pianist and a poet.
