Malik Salam
Counseling Intern
Malik Salam (he/him) is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. Drawing on his varied professional background in entertainment, finance, and consulting—as well as volunteer work as a crisis counselor and peer support provider—Malik brings insight and empathy to his work. His approach is inclusive and grounded in his own journey with mental health and recovery. Malik is particularly interested in how men relate to identity, intimacy, and emotional life, and how therapy can support more authentic and embodied ways of being.
Malik offers therapy in English and French. A first-generation immigrant born in France to Ukrainian and Lebanese parents, he has a deep appreciation for cultural complexity. He is committed to creating a setting where clients can speak freely and begin to listen more deeply to themselves.
